Capriccio by Sylvius Leopold Weiss. Originally for Baroque
lute, this is a contrapuntal delight that fits easily on the guitar. The last measures
call for a free, improvisatory manner. Arpeggiate the half-note chords as you
like. The MIDI
sound file of the Capriccio is not a good model for the last measures. My
thanks to Thomas Scharkowski for pointing out several errors that I had made in
