Richard Yates' Classical Guitar Transcriptions |
BURGMULLER, Johann Friedrich
(1806-1874)
Allegro Vivace, Op. 105, No. 10 by Johann Friedrich Burgmuller. This transcription
of a piano study has an unusual texture – the middle voice is a tremolo-like
figure. Although the piece sits remarkably well on the guitar, I have been
unable to find similar examples in the guitar literature. Has a guitar composer
ever used this texture? Please let me know if you have seen any such pieces.
