Welcome to Richard Yates' Classical Guitar
Transcriptions. On this web site you will find high quality music scores for classical
guitar. All of the music that you can download from here is free – I ask only
that you take a look at the page which describes my published transcriptions.
The free music has received the same close attention to all aspects of
transcription and preparation that my published works have. Many of the
transcriptions offered here have never before been available as guitar
editions. The scores are downloaded to your computer immediately as a file that
can be viewed and printed with Acrobat Reader which you can get free from Adobe . To help
you select music you may first listen to free MIDI sound files of many of the
pieces. In addition, these MIDI files are helpful when learning to play the
music.
